Transformative Law, Suitable Security Architecture and National Dialogue as Models for a Better Nigeria

The need for a workable, steady and justiciable polity in Nigeria has continued to constantly prompt Nigerians to demand for a national conference whereat a national dialogue will take place aimed at addressing the grievances that has continued to threaten the existence of Nigeria as an indissoluble and indivisible Nation. This study lends its voice to the need for a national conference. The study reflects on the potential for National Dialogues to create a practicable, secure, sure and justiciable polity in Nigeria that will enhance the transformation of Nigeria politically and economically. The study discussed national dialogue, its benefits, challenges and way forward. This study acknowledged the fact that for building a country of our dream, a national dialogue that seeks to reach agreement on key issues facing Nigeria should as a matter of necessity be convened whereat issues on national identity, the role of religion in government, political rights, basic freedoms, institutional reform, election procedures, and the structure of government.
