Dear Esteemed Authors,
The Fountain University Journal of Natural and Applied Sciences (FUJNAS) is committed to maintaining high publication standards and improving our journal's quality and aesthetic appeal. To this end, we have made several important updates to our policies and author guidelines, which will take effect from the next volume, coming up by 2025.

Effective with Volume 14 in 2025, there will be changes to our publishing policies. To accommodate all manuscripts currently under review, the publication of Volume 13, Issue 2, has been extended to mid-February 2025.

Authors are kindly reminded to make revisions to their manuscripts before this deadline. Manuscripts not revised by the specified date must be resubmitted per the updated author guidelines.

  1. Revised Article Processing Charges (APC)
To ensure the sustainability of our journal and provide enhanced services to our contributors, the Article Processing Charges (APC) have been adjusted from N20,000 to N30,000 for Local authors and $100 for foreign authors per article.
  2. Adoption of Vancouver Referencing Style
Starting from the next volume of the journal, Volume 14, issue 1, to be published by 2025, articles submitted to FUJNAS will be in Vancouver referencing style. Authors are advised to familiarise themselves with this referencing style to ensure compliance.
  3. Adjustment to Journal Format
To improve aesthetics and readability, the journal will now adopt these formats:
    - Font Style: Aptos  font 11
  4. Word Count and Abstract Guidelines
    - Research Papers: Maximum of 6,000 words
    - Reviews Articles: Maximum of 10,000 words.
    - Abstracts: 250 words limit.
  5. ORCID Integration
Authors’ ORCID numbers will now be included in published articles as clickable hyperlinks to enhance visibility and ensure proper attribution of work.
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these new guidelines as we strive to provide a more impactful and visually appealing platform for scholarly communication.

Moving forward, all submissions must adhere strictly to the updated style and guidelines as announced. Submissions that fail to meet these requirements will be summarily rejected.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we strive to maintain the highest publication standards.
